What's included in a Teeth to Tails Checkup?
Let's start with the teeth - we'll assess your pet's teeth and gums, looking for plaque buildup and bleeding, and ask about any difficulty eating, loose teeth, or foul breath.Â
We'll touch on their heart and lungs, discussing any labored breathing, as well as any coughing, gagging, or drooling.
Then it's on the skin and coat to look for inflammation and thinning fur, and ask about any history of itching, scratching, or insect bites.
We'll see where your pet falls on the BCS, or Body Condition Score, and discuss their diet to ensure they are on track to maintain a healthy weight.
We'll also talk about input (your pet's eating and drinking habits) as well as output (consistency and frequency of their urination and defecation).
